Hello, my name is Suchada Sungnate but like all Thais have nicknames, my nickname is “Sprite”. I was born in Phuket, known to be one of the most popular touristy places in Southern Thailand. Starting at my childhood I was fascinated by the mix of cultures and languages that tourists from all places around the globe brought to Phuket. To me it felt like travelling the world without ever having to leave home. From that time on dealing with different cultures and languages became my destiny. After graduating from high school, nearly all my activities were settled around tourism including being an employee of the Samui Immigration Office in Nathon. Since 2015 I am delighted and proud to be a Thai teacher at Samui Language School in Lamai while still attending classes at the International School of Tourism in Chaweng – a facility of the Suratthani Rajabhat University – to broaden my horizon also on the economical end of the broad field of tourism. In my opinion learning languages is a great way to get to know people from all around the world as well as an insight of their respective cultures. On that note, I am looking forward to seeing you in one of my next Thai classes.
